Rally Connex will stage a 12-hour rally through the Kawartha and Madawaska highlands of southern Ontario over the August 22–23 weekend. The Rockhound Rally is for aggressive tires only, but non-competiting riders (who will not be timed) are welcome.

The starting point will be Limerick Lodge and Marina in Gilmour. Teams of three riders will complete a large loop route from Bancroft into Haliburton and over to Calabogie. Timed stages along the route will have open and closing times, and free areas will be gravel and two-track and will allow breaks for the riders.

Competing riders will start before non-competing riders.

Rally Connex says the route will be good practice for next year’s Paris To Dacre Challenge and recommends 450–990 cc dualsports.
