The adventures of a man who rebuilt a 1974 Harley Sportster and captured a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats with it have been posted on YouTube.
Jim Fischer bought the Sportster as a "rolling basket case" in 2001, entered it in a "run what ya brung" class at Bonneville, then went home and transformed the bike over the next three years.
He won the AMA Land Speed record for class M/PP1350 with it in 2007.
