Rey Sotelo, the former Indian Motorcycle CEO who was arrested a year ago following an investigation into activities at the Road Dog Cycle Shop, has pleaded guilty to a federal racketeering charge.
He was accused of helping to create fake papers for a stolen Harley-Davidson that the shop’s owner intended to be shipped to Sweden.
He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic in stolen motorcycle parts and could face five years in jail and a fine of $250,000 U.S.
Sotelo was credited with bringing back the Indian Chief, but retired from the company in 2002.
