The 2009 induction ceremony of the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame will include one of the museum’s founders and a Hamilton, Ontario, motorcycle club.

The hall of fame is run by the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada and was started with the assistance of Motorcycle Supershow producer Bar Hodgson. Hodgson is among the inductees.

Joining Hodgson on the list of eight people and two organizations are Carl Bastedo, the Canadian Race Communications Association, competitors Ivor Lloyd, Duane McDaniels, and Jimmy Sehl, dirt track racer Don McHugh, trainer Ken Morgan, the Steel City Riders, and hillclimb champion John Williams.

The induction banquet will be held Oct. 24 at the Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.

Hodgson and his wife Hedy founded the Canadian International Motorcycle Heritage Museum Foundation in 1999 and the Canadian motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2005.
