Honda’s European site is asking for opinions on a new V-4 design, and there are reports that the company will have a new V-4-powered motorcycle on sale by this time next year.

"Your opinion is important to design the future!" says Honda.

European customers are invited to provide input before the final design is approved.

Meanwhile, MCN is claiming that Honda’s senior managing director, Shigeru Takagi, has said the new V-4 will be a "new breed of Honda."

He is reported to have said the new bike "will be the perfect road machine that Honda customers have called for."

He alluded to a replacement for the VFR800 and the Blackbird but said "we do not see this bike as a replacement for anything. We see it as an all-new breed of machine."

He said the complete bike will be seen this fall and will be on sale next spring.

    Looks legit… shaftie, though?

  2. Always a skeptic in every crowd … I for one would like to see the perfect road machine … one that makes all other motorcycles instantly obsolete. :grin

  3. The new bike “will be the perfect road machine that Honda customers have called for.” Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha… That’s a good one Honda!! I hope it’s just like the picture – that really looks like “the perfect road machine” to me: Comfy seat, good pillion accomodations, we can see that. And I’m sure Honda will make our dream machine simple – oops – and affordable. Not like those fugly frankenbikes from BMW. Something better, like the DN-01. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
