Yamaha is working on a rival to Honda’s DN-01 automatic motorcycle, according to the Spanish motorcycle website solomoto.es.
Drawings have been seen for a motorcycle that looks similar to the Honda but seems to use the motor from Yamaha’s super-scooter, the TMax. Three of Yamaha’s engineers have patented the design, the website says.
The drawings indicate a new kind of transmission that might be similar to Honda’s automatic hydraulic transmission, developed for the DN-01.
Honda built a model called the Pacific Coast (PC800)

Pacific Coast? You mean the bike or the location?
How about a Pacific Coast version ?
Now there’s a waste of design time. Rob Mac’s right about the G-Strider, though.
Suzuki should follow suit with a consumer version of their old G-Strider concept bike. It’s much more attractive than the Honda or the suggested Suzuki drawings.
