That’s you, third from the left, in the mountains of Italy

Buy a Dainese jacket or an AGV helmet, go riding with Ago. As they say, It could happen.

The Italian companies Dainese and AGV have teamed up with motorcycle manufacturers Ducati, MV Agusta, and Moto Morini to present the "Italian Legendary Tour."

From now until July 18, if you spend $250 U.S. on a Dainese garment or AGV helmet at www.dainese.com, you can put your name in the hat to win a seat on a motorcycling tour of the Italian Dolomites and a ride with Giacomo Agostini, Marco Lucchinelli, and Max Biaggi.

The idea of the tour is to promote Italian manufacturing, and the result of winning is that this September 11th you’ll fly to Venice or Verona (from a leading international airport), get taken to Vicenza to visit the Dainese HQ, then go on a four-day, 1,000 km tour with other winners along scenic roads in the Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige regions, stopping each night where one of the three racing legends will be brought in to join the next day’s ride.

Go to the Dainese website for more on the Italian Legendary Tour.

  1. Where would one buy an AGV helmet in Canada anyway? I’ve looked around for an AGV modular helmet I saw in a mag, but had no luck finding a retailer carrying the AGV products in the Toronto area.
I find there are lots of European products advertised in magazines, but not much of them are available here in the Great White North.

  2. Upon reading the contest rules, it’s not clear to me that Canadian consumers are eligible. In one part, they qualify the online purchasers to being from USA; in another it is not so qualified.

Buyer beware. I know I was elated to win a litre of whisky (for sending the monthly winning Litre Letter) from Rugby World, only to have them never send it.
