The Big Four in Japan shipped fewer motorcycles to Canada this spring than in the previous year, but people are still buying their bikes.

The Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association reports that 3,844 motorcycles were shipped to Canada in March by Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha.

That’s seven per cent fewer than were shipped in March 2008.

The Japanese manufacturers dropped nine per cent in their shipments to the United States in March from the same month in 2008, moving about 24,000 motorcycles, but manufacturing was way down, with about 60,000 bikes built in March, half what they put together in March ’08.
