Yamaha Canada has kicked off its 2009 "Power Tour" with travelling motorcycles that include the R1, RFZ6R, V Star 950 Tourer, 1900 Stratoliner S (west and central Canada only), 1900 Roadliner (Quebec and eastern Canada only), T-Max (except in central Canada), and a couple more.

The tour is broken into western, central, and Quebec-eastern Canada legs, and started on Sunday at Hamilton, Ontario.

Here’s the breakdown of starting dates by province. See the Yamaha Canada website for more specific information.

Newfoundland: June 4 Stephenville
Nova Scotia: June 3 Halifax
New Brunswick: May 26 Beresford
Quebec: May 14 Alma
Ontario: May 15 Collingwood
Manitoba: June 3 Brandon
Saskatchewan: May 26 Swift Current
Alberta: May 12 Calgary
British Columbia: June 12 Prince George

With apologies to Prince Edward Island, Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

Yamaha Canada has also launched a "win your Yamaha" contest, in which you could win the bike (or ATV, or other Yamaha product) you buy, plus get extra promotional offers, if you buy before the end of the month. Sweet.

  1. Well if you don’t go to the races maybe the lines will be shorter. They should have just brought the tour to Calabogie.

  2. I’m impressed that they scheduled the ottawa one on the same day as canadian superbike racing in Calibogie (our closest race).

I guess they don’t have calendars over there in Yamahaland.
