BMW Motorrad Canada appears to be on a bit of a roll, despite gloomy economic forecasts for the rest of the world.
The Canadian branch set a March sales record of 168 motorcycles, which is a sales increase of 124% compared to March 2008 motorcycle sales.
BMW Motorrad enjoyed high sales numbers in February, too, reporting more than three times the sales of the previous February.
However, year-to-date sales numbers were up 183 per cent at the end of February, but were up only 138% (at 236 units) compared to the same period last year at the end of March. In this case, less is more, as it’s still an increase in sales.
In March, people up here are still buying snowmobiles. It’s been a long and cold winter.
Hmmm…. wow, the motorcycle market in Canada is really small.
