Winnipegger bids, wins Vincent

A Winnipeg contractor has successfully beaten all other bidders for a 1953 Vincent Series C Black Shadow that had been residing in the AMA’s Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

The sale for $77,200 US will help to improve the museum.

Scott Best, the new owner, is a collector who has American and German twins and started his motorcycle ownership with a 1946 Harley-Davidson 45, according to American Motorcyclist, the AMA’s website magazine.

He liked his most recent acquisition because it’s an unusual touring model and was "a good restoration," he told the AMA magazine.

He plans to ride it, though in Winnipeg, that may not happen immediately.

  1. My SV1000R buddy from Wpg, who is visiting in T.O. is jealous as hell of the clean roads, and double digit temps… 😀
