The Pacific Riding School in Surrey, B.C., has introduced a riding skills course for scooters and an offer from Kawasaki.
Riders of the smallest scooters don’t need motorcycle licences and may be among the least-skilled operators of two-wheeled vehicles on the road today, so a scooter course could be useful.
It’s taught with Honda Jazz scooters and the school provides safety gear for the two-day course. Students will learn basic skills such as low- and high-speed manoeuvring, braking, and techniques to avoid collisions.
Meanwhile, the riding school has teamed up with Canadian Kawasaki to offer a $1,500 credit on the purchase of a new Kawasaki to the motorcycle skills course student with the best combined test results. The credit will apply to a Lower Mainland British Columbia dealership and will be awarded each week from February through October, 2009.
