Mini racing at Alberta shows

Indoor mini road racing will be a highlight at the Edmonton Motorcycle Show, scheduled for Jan. 16 – 18 at the Northlands Agricom.

The Canadian National Indoor Mini Road Racing Championships will be wrapped up at the Edmonton show (it starts at the Calgary show this weekend), with indoor racing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The show’s website suggests that such Canadian luminaries as Jordan Szoke, Don Munroe, and Steve Crevier will take part in the action — if any part of that’s true, you can expect some terrific action on the slippery floor of Hall A.

Other show attractions include performances by the Canadian Chaos stunt team, She Rides for female motorcyclists, appearances by Jason Britton at the Parts Canada booth, and all the new motorcycles for 2009.

As well, Rene Cormier will be there with CMG’s Editor ‘Arris and a gaggle of motorcycling authors, the Edmonton branch of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group will put on a display of ancient motorcycles, and Rider Nation will present all the clubs, associations, and events you could possibly want to know about.

As if you needed an excuse to go to magnificent Edmonton … now you have one!

  1. Gee, no matter how charming Edmonton is in mid-freaking-Janaury, I think I’ll stick with the plan to go to AUSTRALIA ON THE 15TH INSTEAD!!

And yes, that last bit was shouting.
