Problem: On certain motorcycles, the position of the hose clamps on the fuel
filler drain hose & fuel breather hose is incorrect and the two
hoses may get damaged. This situation has potential for a fuel leak and
a fire which could result in a loss of vehicle control causing an
accident with personal injuries or death.

Correction: Dealers will
replace the fuel filler drain & fuel breather hoses and reposition
the hose clamps.

CHOPPERS Recall (#2008381)

Models Involved: 2004-2006 Devils’ Advocate, Sled, Venom 

Number of Vehicles: 12

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the frame welds may
not have sufficient strength where the neck is connected to the
backbone and the down tube. There might be some instances where
customers may have modified their frame by adding holes, grounded down
welds, and not properly torqued the top motor mount. The weld could
fail resulting in a separation of the neck from the frame which could
result in a loss of vehicle control and causing an accident with
personal injuries or death.

Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair
affected vehicles

Models Involved: 2008 Striker

Number of Vehicles: 200

Problem: On certain vehicles, the rear wheel hub may develop a
stress related crack which could cause the rear wheel break and fall
off. This situation could result in a crash causing personal injury to
the rider and property damages.

Correction: Dealers will replace with
improved parts.

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the turn signal mounting
stalk(s) can break causing failure of the turn signal to clearly
indicate the rider’s turn intentions. This situation could lead to a
crash causing personal injury or death.

Correction: Dealers will
replace all four turn signal assemblies.

BUELL Recall (#2008389)

Number of Vehicles: 28

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the rear cylinder
cam chain tension guide may experience premature failure. This can
cause plastic debris which can block the oil pump screen, leading to
possible oil starvation and engine seizure. An engine seizure may cause
the rear wheel to lock-up which could lead to a crash causing personal
injuries or death.

Correction: Dealers will replace the rear cam chain
tensioner with an updated tensioner.

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the windscreen is
mounted with a rubber-mounted nut which may become dislodged and hit/distract the rider while riding. This situation could result in a crash
causing personal injuries or death.

Correction: Dealers will replace
the two rubber-mounted nuts with new fastener assemblies.
