No. 1 in Britain

A British magazine poll has selected Honda’s CBR1000RR – called the Fireblade over there – as the country’s favourite motorcycle.

Ride Magazine surveyed surveyed 7,000 readers in what they claim is Britain’s largest motorcycling poll, and the CBR came out on top with a satisfaction rating of 92.1 per cent and high marks in other categories as well.

Honda’s ST1300 ("Pan European" in Britain) was among the top five with an 88.53 per cent approval rating.

Ride Magazine said the CBR’s reliability and build quality complemented its rider satisfaction rating.

BMW didn’t stink in the ratings, either: the RT1200 earned second place and the K1200S was third overall and first in the Sports Tourer category.

Interestingly, no sport bikes finished in the top five in the handling category.
