The British Columbia Coalition of Motorcyclists (BCCOM) held one of the country’s premier show-and-shine events on the weekend, with approximately 85,000 people visiting.

The annual BCCOM show-and-shine is held in Gastown, an "old-town" area of Vancouver. It was also Motorcycle Safety Awareness Day in the west coast city.

BMW, Ducati, Honda, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, and Yamaha took part in the event, as well as smaller companies. The Felions dance team modelled clothing from Bitchin Gear, a west coast company that makes motorcycling gear for women, and even Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan put in an appearance.

Classes for show-and-shine competition included American Cruiser Softail, American Custom, Classic Chopper, Touring, American Vintage, Supermoto, British Vintage, and Asian Vintage.

There were also freestyle motocross demos, training school promotions, and the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association had some of their fast-movers on display.
