Police after Isle of Man bikers

They’re onto you blokes!

British police are paying special attention to over-enthusiastic motorcyclists attending the Isle of Man TT races, even though bikers might not be the most critical safety target.

Police are monitoring rider and driver behaviour at the Heysham Port, which draws thousands of motorcyclists annually for the ferry to the Isle of Man. Using an unmarked police motorcycle, they’re giving out tickets for speeding and aggressive riding, says the Lancaster Guardian newspaper.

However, last year’s operation caught 60 motorists speeding on the Heysham bypass, but most were car drivers on their way to work, the paper says.

The Isle of Man TT races conclude on Saturday.
