Bobby gets a Busa

Imagine this with a POLICE sticker

The English police officer with the Hayabusa seems at first to get his kicks by showing off at the local biker hangout, but when he pulls over a car driver who’s been harrassing two motorcyclists, the British badge shows its value.

Things take a different turn after that, but it’s all in a day’s riding — er, work, that is, for PC Dennis, a traffic cop with an edge. The police kitted Hayabusa is used to take down motorcyclists who speed, wheelie, and generally misbehave on public roads.

The big Suzuki has a video camera, which makes evidence gathering a simple matter, and while it attracts a lot of attention from other motorcyclists, you’ve got to wonder how much of the ‘busa’s speed potential really gets used in law enforcement.

There are Hayabusas among U.S. highway patrol departments, but this is the first police model on British soil. The Youtube video is good for a laugh.
