Ayres finds Canada

Tour through Canadian Rockies Steve Thornton

Ayres Adventures has discovered Canada. The Texas-based motorcycle touring company offers tours through western Canada and Alaska for their 2009 season.

A 16-day Best of Alaska and Canada ride starts in the Canadian Rockies and proceeds northwest through British Columbia, up to Whitehorse and Dawson in the Yukon, then into Alaska.

The touring company will also open an Ayres Adventure Center is Banff National Park. Riders can bunk in one "luxurious lodge" for four nights while heading out in different directions each day with the Ayres team.

And for lovers of dual sport riding, Ayres is setting up a Discovery Tours program in Utah, Nevada and Arizona, with BMW GS motorcycles — that one starts in the fall of 2009.

See www.ayresadventures.com for info on these and other Ayres tours, including one to Antarctica.
