As if he didn’t already have everything, superstar actor Tom Cruise has bought a Ducati Desmosedici RR, according to the Associated Press.
Cruise, who rode a motorcycle in the movie "Top Gun," seems to have a thing for exotics. He already owns a Confederate Hellcat and a Vyrus 985 C3 4V.
This week, he’ll pick up the MotoGP replica Ducati at a California dealership.
Ducati North America boss Michael Lock said he was "delighted" that the star would be taking delivery of the world’s first production Desmosedici RR, which is made to "reflect the Desmosedici GP6," according to Ducati’s website, will be produced in a limited run of only 1,500, and will sell for $72,500.
Meanwhile, another superstar with an eye for motorcycles has shown that it’s not always a case of "me want, me get" in celeb-dom.
Recently, Elton John donated 120 Honda CTX200s to Riders for Health, bound for Lesotho, Africa, where medical workers will use them to deliver anti-AIDS drugs and health information to people in remote areas.
The first 60 bikes have already been sent off, and the rest will be delivered in February.
Let’s see now, how many AIDS-worker CTX200s could you buy for $72,500?
