The U.S. intends to ask China to curb
trade barriers that are limiting Harley-Davidson sales in that
country due to restrictions of ‘heavy motorcycle’ use in urban areas.
Four Democratic senators have asked a
US trade representative and the Secretary of Commerce to urge China
to ease said rules, according to
the news agency AFP.
Harley-Davidson was introduced to China
two years ago, but sales have been slow. “The Chinese market should
be hog heaven for U.S. motorcycle companies,” said Senator Charles
Schumer.
