Like KTM’s other big twins, the 990 uses the LC8 motor and has an increase in
displacement to 999 cc. With the addition of fuel injection, power has been bumped to
a healthy 115 hp.
Sadly, it will not be brought into
North America for 2008, as the carbureted 950 Supermoto is still
available. 2009 then?
That’s up for discussion, but the new RC8 eight-valve superbike, at least, will
likely be here in ’09.
