Moto Guzzi’s 1200 Sport,
similar in appearance to the Breva naked bike, will be available in
Canada as a 2008 model.
The new Guzzi features a
heavily-retuned 1,151 cc engine mated to an “all-new” chassis
which should provide some reasonable get-up-and-go – there’s even
going to be a track kit with considerably more power.
Still, it’s more
likely to be purchased as a sport-touring bike, as Guzzi says the
machine has been designed with both rider and passenger comfort in
mind; hard luggage plus an anti-theft system will be optional.
Canadian Scooter Corp
has pegged the 1200 Sport MSRP at $15,995.
Griso remains 4V
The Griso 1100 will also
be in the Moto Guzzi line-up for 2008, priced at $16,995, but is not
changed from the ’07 model.
Unfortunately, the Griso
8V, an eight-valve 1200 cc update, is not scheduled for Canadian release just yet.
The Sport 1200 is a sharp looking bike…almost as good looking as MG’s older V11 LeMans, but not quite.
