Zac tracked down the problem with his non-starting DR650 project and has been having lots of fun breaking in the rebuilt engine.
It’s the project that never ends! Or is it? Zac’s got the DR650 all bolted back together, and is just waiting for warmer weather so he can fire it up.
The engine is back together, and in the frame. A few hours’ more work, and Zac can get this thing going again, hopefully!
This update: Some paint, a new stator coil, new clutch plates and springs, and some attention to the neutral sending unit.
After months of delays, my Suzuki DR650 rebuild has begun in earnest. Reconstructive surgery has begun.
Fans of the KLR650, DR650, and XR650 take note: Big thumpers are on the way out.
