Anybody seriously interested in adventure riding should know about Horizons Unlimited and their mission of promoting travel (if not, click here!). This BC meet-up is just one more example of their regional gatherings, pulling riders together for a weekend to hear inspirational stories from the road, learn handy skills (photography, navigation, filming, first aid, etc.).

Although there are how-to lectures, HU events don’t have an emphasis on riding schools — they typically focus on other aspects of travel. The Canada West event will have almost 50 talks, demonstrations, workshops, Q&A’s, challenges and competitions. A full schedule will be released about a week before the event, although it’s subject to change.

Registration kicks off at 1 PM Thursday, presentations begin at 6 PM. The event closes at noon on Sunday. You can pre-register and get a look at the schedule here, as well as costs. Pricing varies, depending on what meals and accommodations you want or don’t want.
