The S1000R uses the previous edition of the S1000RR's engine (no variable valve timing, at least not yet). But it's a ripping fast naked bike all on its own, with 165 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. There's a quickshifter, traction control, titanium muffler—all sorts of parts to encourage hoonery. You can upgrade to leaning ABS, pro riding modes, and even electronically controlled suspension. It may not be quite as hot as BMW's latest superbike, but it's not far behind.
