Kawasaki's Versys 1000 got an update in 2019, with new brake bits, refined ABS system, new adjustable windshield, new centrestand, new seat. Of course, there's also three-level traction control, engine management modes and everything else you need for high-speed, low-drag touring. The price is up $1,200 for 2019, but cruise control is standard now. And, while there's still an electronic throttle valve with a cable to a sensor, this machine uses a throttle position sensor, so it's halfway to being a throttle-by-wire setup.
