Kymco doubles down on electric bikes, with RevoNEX concept

For the second year in a row, Kymco has brought out an interesting electric motorcycle at EICMA. This year, Kymco’s showing off the RevoNEX concept, with naked bike styling and other interesting features.

While most electric motorcycles have left behind the idea of a manually-operated transmission, the RevoNEX has a six-speed gearbox. It’s supposed to have a top speed over 200 km/h, and go 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

However, as with the SuperNEX concept last year, we’re still missing details. What motor did Kymco use? What battery? What would the cost be, if this thing came to market? Remember that, as a concept bike, nothing is guaranteed anyway.

What we do know is, the bike will come with four awkwardly-named power modes, and also comes with some sort of noise generator. Maybe CMG’s April Fools story from 2018 wasn’t so far off?
