Earlier this year, we told you about Canadian dealers entering Harley-Davidson’s Battle of the Kings competition. Now, you can vote for Canada’s custom bike entry into the contest.
The Battle of the Kings is a build-off that pits Harley-Davidson dealers against each other, seeing who can put together the best custom. The idea is for the shops to build a custom Harley-Davidson “using only their imagination, skill and a budget no bigger than half the cost of the original model.” The Canadian feeder competition ran earlier this year, with Moonshine from Calgary Harley-Davidson winning the national build-off.
Now, Moonshine is entered in the global competition, which allows you to vote for your favourite machine. The entire lineup of competitors is here. The Canadian entry, a modified 2018 Sport Glide, is here. Hey, we may not have a MotoGP rider from Canada, or a World Superbike rider, but this is one international competition we can win. Just remember the rules of winning in any democratic system: vote early, and vote often!
Hmmm… just so I understand. I’m to put aside creativity, ingenuity, aesthetic appeal and personal judgement in favour of … nationalism. Dis I get that right ?
Guys, please.
Shouldn’t people be voting for their favourite bike – not just for the “Canadian representative”…?
