The 2019 Canadian Superbike campaign is about to end, with the final doubleheader showdown at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend.

Action gets underway in Bowmanville with a test day Thursday. Actual practice starts Friday morning, qualifying for some series (Pro Superbike, Pro Sport Bike) coming later in the day.

Races run Saturday and Sunday, with Amateur Lightweight Sport Bike, Pro Sport Bike and Pro Superbike events on Saturday and Sunday. Amateur Sport Bike and Amateur Superbike only run Sunday. For a full listing of the tentative weekend schedule, visit the CSBK website.

While the Pro Superbike title looks like it’s likely to go to Ben Young, he still hasn’t clinched the crown. The same goes for Will Hornblower in Pro Sport Bike, and the leaders in the amateur series as well—a DNF in any of the weekend’s races could mean the difference between second and first overall.

As always, there’s lots of other stuff going on at the facility formerly known as Mosport.  This year, there’s stunt shows, a movie night tie-in with the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival, demo rides and the CTMP Marketplace. Kids aged 16 and under get free admission, as long as they’re with an adult who buys a ticket. Tents, RVs and camping trailers can all get weekend camping passes as well.
