Time’s running out, so sign up now for the Fundy Adventure Rally and KTM Adventure Rally

The Fundy Adventure Rally takes in over 500 kms of New Brunswick's gravel roads and trails.

The cut-off dates for registrations at two of Canada’s biggest adventure rallies are just around the corner, so sign up now if you want to be at the Fundy Adventure Rally or KTM Adventure Rally.

This year, they’re leaving registration open for the Fundy rally until basically the last minute, but that’s still just around the corner, as FAR runs August 15-18.

As usual, the Fundy rally will run out of Adair’s Wilderness Lodge outside Sussex, New Brunswick, with a shorter 250-km scavenger hunt-style route, and longer 500-km routes through the backwoods, with choice of A, B or C legs, of varying difficulty.

CMG has a long history at the Fundy Adventure Rally, as CMG founder Editor ‘Arris also started the Fundy rally. You can read about the 2018 rally here. The rally’s sign-up page is here.

As for the KTM Adventure Rally, this is the third running of the event in Canada (KTM has been running similar rallies in the US for a while). This year, the rally’s course is designed to be run over two days, instead of just one. The KTM event is scheduled for September 26-28, based at the Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC. There are two different routes; R1 is the more difficult course, R2 is easier. Both are designed to be done on big-bore bikes, but KTM recommends knobbies for even the easier course.

Chris Birch is also offering riding clinics at the KTM event, and KTM-mounted riders can also battle it out for a chance to enter next year’s KTM Ultimate Race (Canadians did pretty well at this year’s Ultimate Race, held at Merzouga).

Registration for the KTM rally cuts off on September 1. More details on everything that’s going on, and the rules, are at the rally’s sign-up page.
