Today’s Hot Motorcycle Gossip® says the KTM 1290 Super Duke R is about to get an overhaul, and that “everything is better about it.”
To back that gossip up, Morebikes has some photos of the new 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R undergoing some sort of road test, although the photos hardly look like “right place in the right time” sort of work …
Of all the motorcycle’s we’ve tested at CMG in recent years, the KTM Super Duke R was one of the most enjoyable. It was also one of the most ridiculously over-powered for public roads, at least in eastern Canada, so it’s bonkers to think of what a machine with even more horsepower and electronic wizardry could accomplish. Asphalt & Rubber reckons the gossip they heard about just about everything being overhauled is indeed true, though, as the frame, engine, exhaust, wheels and most other components seem to be upgraded in MoreBikes’ spy photo.
