KTM Adventure Rally details announced

KTM North America has released more details for its Canadian adventure bike rally.

This year, the KTM Adventure Rally Canada will run Sept. 26-28 at the Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC, just above the US border. Once again, the rally is open to all motorcycle brands, but your bike has to be over 600 cc.

As part of the Canadian rally, there’s now a two-day navigation rally, in which teams of 2-4 riders will follow GPS routes through the mountains, trying to stay on-track as closely as possible. There are two options to choose in the rally. One is aimed at giving an off-road riding experience, the other is more oriented towards adventure touring.

There’s also going to be adventure gear vendors, rider training with Chris Birch, and demo rides on KTM adventure bikes, including the new 790 Adventure R. Of course, the general riding in the area is fantastic as well.

KTM is also bringing back the Race Qualifier. This event is open to riders on KTM twin-cylinder bikes; the winners will head to KTM’s international competition, the Ultimate Race at Merzouga. There are more details to come, but for now, the basic rules and regs are at KTM’s Eventbrite sign-up page. Space is limited, says KTM, so get moving on this if you’re interested.

As for the other goings-on, there’s more information on the rest of the fun at Eventbrite as well, so head there for more information.
