Brave the cold, see the motorcycles: Quebec City’s motorcycle show runs this weekend

Kids on bikes: Just what the world needs. We just wish we were allowed to go for a ride too!

It’s colder than a well-digger’s bloomers (as they say in rural Prince Edward Island), but don’t let the polar vortex, or whatever they’re calling this mass of misery, get you down. Spring is coming, and if you want to get a head start on the motorcycle season, you can visit Quebec City’s MMIC motorcycle show this weekend.

The Quebec Motorcycle Show runs at Centre de Foires d’Expocité Friday-Sunday, with all the major manufacturers bringing their 2019 machines.  You can throw a leg over them and decide if it’s time to start talking payment plans.

Along with new bikes, there’ll be new side-by-sides and ATVs there, if you’re into that sort of thing, and the usual lineup of vendors, aftermarket retailers and distributors, a vintage motorcycle display, a freestyle show by Ben Milot and the Yamaha Riding Academy returns as well, putting kids aboard minibikes to teach them the basics.

Kawasaki is giving away a Z125 Pro to a lucky showgoer tomorrow, as well as a Versys-X 300 to a female attendee tonight (it’s ladies’ night after 5 PM).

For a full list of what to expect, visit the show’s website here. Ticket information and pricing, and show hours, are here.
