Ride your bike and make a difference

Torch Ride
  • Kingston, Cornwall, South Bruce, Chatham-Kent, Quinte Region, Peel/Dufferin, Sault Ste. Marie, dates TBA
  • In support of Special Olympics Ontario

The Torch Ride started in 2013, the brainchild of Mike McAllister, a Niagara Region police officer. Some rides are escorted by police, others are poker runs.

Carolyne Allan: “The Torch Ride is raising funds for Special Olympics Ontario, a charity that provides sports programs, health and nutrition for people who live with an intellectual disability. There are more than 25,000 athletes registered with Special Olympics in Ontario. The money raised from things like the Harley raffle and the rides goes directly to the charity.”
