MV Agusta recall

Recall #: 2018074
Models Involved: 2015-2016 MV Agusta F4 RR, F4 RC
Number of Vehicles:
 8
Problem: On certain motorcycles, a crack within the polyphenilene sulphide (PPS) piston of the front brake master cylinder could occur. This could result in the master cylinder to not be able to generate sufficient hydraulic pressure, which could lead to a loss of braking capability of the front brake.
Correction: Dealers will replace the PPS piston with one made from aluminum.

Note: This recall is for the same braking components that we saw recalled in Ducati, Aprilia, Husqvarna and KTM motorcycles. More on that recall, for Brembo PR16 front brake master cylinders, here.
