KTM/Husqvarna recall

Recall #: 2018012
Models Involved: 2017-2018 Husqvarna FS450, 2017-2017 KTM Super Duke GT, 2015-2018 Super Duke R
Number of Vehicles:
 561
Problem: On certain motorcycles, a crack within the polyphenilene sulphide (PPS) piston of the front brake master cylinder could occur. This could result in the master cylinder to not be able to generate sufficient hydraulic pressure, which could lead to a loss of braking capability of the front brake.
Correction: Dealers will replace the PPS piston with one made from aluminum.

Note: This recall is for the same braking components that we saw in this Ducati recall in December. More on that recall, for Brembo PR16 front brake master cylinders, here.
