Hully Gully dealership hit by fire

The well-known Hully Gully powersports dealership in London, Ontario, was hit by a fire Thursday.

News reports say the fire broke out early in the morning in Hully Gully’s storage area; firefighters responded quickly, containing the damage. However, CTV’s report of the fire (see a video clip below) pegs the damage between $2 million and $3 million. It’s unclear if any motorcycles owned by the dealership or customers were damaged in the fire, as news organizations carry conflicting stories.

The dealership remains open despite the fire. The Hully Gully website had the following statement today:

During the middle of Wednesday night a fire started in the building behind Hully Gully. Due to the quick action of the London fire department, there were no injuries and our guard dog is safe.

We await the fire inspectors’ determination as experience teaches the first three reports are wrong.

Employees who worked in that building are requested to come to work at their normal time and today will work out of our 1629 Wharncliffe Rd location.

For any customer units that may have been affected, our team will individually contact them.

Our normal business hours are 9:00AM to 6:00Pm today and tomorrow.

Thanks to all for their assistance and it will be business as usual.
