Kawasaki Z900 RS Cafe Racer: Mild mods to the neo-UJM

The new Kawasaki Z900 RS Cafe Racer is a subtle mash-up of two distinct classes of motorcycle.

In this cafe-racer-meets-UJM model, you’ve got the highly attractive Z900 RS retro naked bike that Kawi just unveiled in Tokyo with the addition of a bikini fairing, some lowered handlebars, and a different seat.

Too bad—it would have been exciting to see some silly power upgrades, or maybe some high-spec suspension bits. Regardless, it’s still a fine-looking motorcycle, and when you pair it with the standard Z900 RS model, we’re betting Kawasaki has a couple of hot sellers here.

The Z900 RS Cafe is not on the Canadian Kawasaki site, and they haven’t told us it’s coming here yet, but we’d be surprised if it wasn’t available by spring. Pricing is likely to be over $11,000 CAD.

  1. Nice. Almost as nice as the ’99ZRX1100 I used to own. I still have a set of Bristol leathers in gr/blk/wh and if Hindle comes out with a megaphone pipe???
