Aprilia Racing Factory Works kit now available for RSV4

The Aprilia Racing Factory Works program has —been expanded to include options for the standard RSV4 superbike.

Last year, Aprilia announced the Factory Works program for the RSV4R superbike, allowing owners to apply all sorts of go-fast pieces that might not be street-legal, but were a lot of fun on-track. Now, Aprilia has added bits for the standard RSV4. As before, they’re not street-legal, but are aimed at track-day or race usage.

Under the program, RSV4 owners can add upgraded pistons or cylinder heads, a full race exhaust, and new ECU; all these upgrades combine to boost the bike to 215 hp. As well, there are replacement parts to lighten the bike – new gas tank, lithium battery, carbon-fibre bits, etc. – that combine to bring weight down as much as 10 kg.

And finally, for the owner who wants the latest in MotoGP-derived technology (or so Aprilia claims), the Factory Works program also offers winglets, like you’d see on a MotoGP bike. Will they help you go faster around a track, without an aerodynamics engineer to help calibrate them? We doubt it, but they’re available, if you want to spend the money.
