This weekend, Rossi makes his 300th career start

Valentino Rossi will set a new MotoGP record this weekend at the Silverstone GP.

On Sunday, barring any bad breaks in practice and qualifying, Rossi will be the first MotoGP rider to make 300 starts in the premier class. He’s the first rider to hit this milestone.

Rossi has already held the record for most MotoGP starts between all classes, setting this record at the Sepang round in 2015 when he made his 329th start, surpassing then-leader Loris Capirossi.

However, Rossi hasn’t been dwelling on the accomplishment in pre-race interviews yet; he’s focusing on getting back on to the podium. History-making isn’t as important to him as winning, it seems, which is why he’s been making history all along.
