Trevor Daley will be back in the Canadian Superbike chase for the season-ending double-header at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Daley hasn’t seen the success he hoped for the past couple of years in CSBK, earning fifth in the Pro Superbike class in 2015 and 2016. His greatest triumph arguably came in 2012, when he won Amateur Superbike.

In 2016, Daley ran a Yamaha, and he ran a Suzuki (pictured) in 2015. This year, he’s racing a Kawasaki ZX-10R that was originally built for Dan Kruger; Ross Milson and Doug Lawrence ran it last year, and Brett McCormick ran a test day on the bike as well. In the CSBK press release, Daley said “Last year, we struggled with power, but still were competitive, and I think this bike makes all the right numbers, it will have a fresh, built engine, and it should have good speed.  I have been hanging out with Brett (McCormick), going dirt bike riding, and he likes the Kawasaki.

“I’ve been riding lots of motocross, and I think I’m fit and prepared – I’m really excited about this opportunity.  I haven’t felt this good in a few years, I’m healthy and in a good place.”

So, we’ll see. The season-ending races are always the biggest events of the year, and adding Daley to the mix could make for some interesting battles. It runs August 18-20; head to the CSBK site for more details.
