Last weekend saw the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association run its Summer Nationals at Rimbey, Alberta.
Matt Mackay-Smith was the big winner of the weekend at the 1/8 mile track, conquering in the Pro Mod class. Doug Casson prevailed in Pro Dragster over Al Miles—the final race in that class was a battle between the 2016 and 2015 champs. It was only the second time Dan Green ran in Pro Street, but he was the winner in that class over some of the established fast guys.
