FIM endurance racing to broadcast on Velocity

The Velocity network has signed a deal to broadcast the FIM Endurance World Championship in 2017.

After years of little roadracing coverage in North America, fans are starting to see more and more choices on television. BeIN Sports now broadcasts MotoGP, World Superbike and MotoAmerica, and CSBK ran on TSN last year (no word yet on whether that arrangement has been renewed for this season).

Naturally, given the form of endurance racing, the endurance races will not be broadcast in their entirety; instead, Velocity will run the 23-minute Pit Stop segment, and a 45-minute highlight of each race, as well as a 45-minute broadcast to wrap up the season.

The next race in the FIM Endurance World Championship is the 24 Heures Motos on April 15-16, at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, France.
