Guy Martin will team up with John McGuinness for the TT Zero race at this spring’s Isle of Man TT.
Last month, Martin announced he was moving to race with Honda as John McGuinness’s teammate at this year’s IOMTT. But the next question was, what about the Mugen electric motorcycle team?
Mugen’s long been rumoured to be a back door Honda project, and has typically run one of the most competitive electric motorcycles at the TT, winning every event since 2013. It makes sense for Martin to be on board; it might be his chance to finally top the podium at the Isle of Man.
Martin rode the Victory electric race bike in 2015, finishing fourth at the TT Zero.
Martin and McGuinness will test the Mugen in Japan in April.
