Triumph recall

Recall #: 2017029
Models Involved: 2016-2017 Triumph Bonneville T120, T120 Black
Number of Vehicles: 179
Problem: Certain motorcycles equipped with heated grips may have an insufficient expansion gap when turned on. This could cause the right hand throttle grip to expand beyond the limits of the available gap and cause the throttle return spring to stop working properly. This would make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle.
Correction: Dealers will install a spacer to provide a sufficient gap for the heated grip to expand when turned on.

  1. Strange how manufacturers still treat heated grips as an afterthought. These things should be standard on all motorcycles and so common they should be well integrated and bulletproof!
