It seems Triumph’s move to the liquid-cooled T120 platform has paid off, with healthy sales gains in 2016, turning it into the company’s best sales year here since setting up operations in Hinkley.
According to the company’s press release, Triumph’s 2016 North American  sales were up 21 per cent over the previous year, with more than 13,000 motorcycles sold in North America for the first time in the company’s modern history. Triumph’s release did not break down sales by model, but its key moves in 2016 were pushing the new parallel twin (T120 and Thruxton) and Explorer platforms forward.
Looking forward to the rest of 2017, Triumph now has the updated T100 and Street Cup line, a new Scrambler, the Bobber, and the new Street Triple line (announced yesterday). Supposedly, the Bobber is getting lots of pre-sales, but it’s hard to call it on the other models; with the T120 released so recently, will there be interest in the similar T100 models? Will the Street Triples live up to the hype?

Not surprised, they build great well finished bikes while the Japanese are either idle or pumping transformer style and plastic!
Now if only they could import that Tiger Sport 1050.
And they shift their production from the UK to a low cost country but still charge premium prices.

Good for Triumph. They have released some interesting models as of late and I’m glad to see their sales increasing . I would not be surprised if they were to break more sales records this year.
