Alex Dumas will ride this KTM RC390 next summer

As we mentioned earlier, KTM’s Canadian arm is sending Alex Dumas down to race in MotoAmerica’s RC390 series next summer. Now, here’s a look at the bike he’ll be racing.

KTM has just announced the specs for the bikes in next year’s spec series. Take your standard RC390, add in fully adjustable fork and shock from WP, throw in race-specific bodywork, Akrapovic exhaust, CNC-engineered levers and rearsets, along with some other go-fast bits (more than 40 KTM PowerParts on the bike), and you’ve got your race bike for the RC Cup.

KTM is staying very hands-on with the whole thing; competitors can race their personally-built bikes in regional events, but if you want to ride in the MotoAmerica series, you must use a machine put together for this purpose by KTM. KTM has teamed up with HMC Racing to provide trackside servicing for the bikes, along with pre-race safety checks as well as a hospitality area for racers.

If you want in on this first come, first serve action, get to your local dealer with a copy of their AMA Road Racing Superstock Limited license or license application. KTM never mentioned a price in their press release, but we’re guessing you’ll have to return quite a few bottles down at the recycling depot to save up the dough for this one.
