Overland Expo West changes location

Instructor Andrew Pain talks about minimalist motorcycle packing.

Overland Expo West, the massive adventure travel get-together with attendance from around the globe, has already started registration for the 2017 event.

CMG readers with keen memories will recall our story about Overland Expo West back in 2013 (before the eastern edition, held in North Carolina, started up). We’re still waiting to get to the eastern OX event, but trust us — either one is worth going to, especially if you want to sign up for some rider training or see all the latest ADV riding gear on display in one location.

The 2017 event will see Overland Expo West move to a new location. Next year’s Expo will be at Fort Tuthill County Park, south of Flagstaff in Arizona. It’s not far from the previous location at Mormon Lake.

Interested in going? Click here to sign up for next year’s event, running May 12-14. Where else are you going to find Ural test rides, an overland travel film festival, and the chance to ogle not just fully-kitted ADV bikes, but some pretty sweet Mad Max-style trucks as well?
