Along with the T100 Bonneville and T100 Black models, Triumph also introduced a new cafe racer today, the Street Cup.
The Street Cup is the T100 line’s equivalent to the Thruxton — a pre-built cafe racer (designers raided the Thruxton parts bin for a few bits). It’s a purty machine, with rearsets, lowered handlebars, a sporty paint job, flyscreen, longer rear shocks (for more aggressive handling) and cast wheels that should take aggressive rubber.
Obviously, it comes with the same 900 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin motor as the other machines in the T100 series.
The Street Cup appears to come in a grey/black and yellow/black paint scheme. It’s undoubtedly going to be pricier than a Continental GT from Royal Enfield, but it will offer Brit bike enthusiasts a lower-priced option than the T120-based Thruxton, and might be a bit easier to fling around too, thanks to less weight.
Like much of Triumph’s lineup, there will be a catalogue full of aftermarket bits that can readily bolt on to the Street Cup, making backyard tinkering easy for the average owner who’s handy with a wrench.
Canadian pricing and availability has not been mentioned yet.
